Project overview

The Real-Time Pollen Dictionary provides hyperlocal pollen and air-quality insights across the US and UK. The redesign aimed to improve user experience and significantly boost SEO performance—driving traffic for pollen-related data and strengthening brand visibility.

Through heuristic analysis and current-state evaluation, several key issues surfaced:

Confusing country → state navigation flow • Redudancy • Non-clickable logo • Multiple search bars

Layout

Key content hidden under Read More • Poor information hierarchy • Overwhelming API links in footer

Mobile experience issues

Navigation

Long scroll with dual scrollbars for country/state navigation • Hamburger menu not needed • Navigation bar required simplification

City-level charts not responsive; horizontal scrolling required
