Empowering Allergy Sufferers with Pollen Intelligence

Existing weather and allergy apps lacked detailed, hyperlocal pollen data, making it difficult for users to identify their specific allergy triggers.
Solution
Designed AllerTrack, an all-in-one allergy companion combining hyperlocal pollen, weather, and air-quality insights to help users understand their triggers and plan their day with confidence.

As Product Designer, I owned the UX strategy, information architecture, user flows, and visual design from concept to launch.
Outcome
1K+ downloads on Android, with hyperlocal pollen forecasts, personalized alerts, symptom tracking, and allergy-focused insights. Innovation with constraints.
Project overview
AllerTrack is a mobile app that tracks climate-triggered allergies like pollen and poor air quality. Users log symptoms for personalized analysis, access 5-day forecasts, navigate cleaner routes, set medication reminders, and identify specific pollen allergens. By blending science-backed data with intuitive design, the app turns complex environmental insights into actionable daily habits.

What are we trying to solve
Allergies strike seasonally with invisible culprits like pollen, which varies dramatically even within 5km. Users battle sneezing, itchy eyes, and fatigue without context or tools to plan ahead. Existing apps bury pollen data in dense numbers, lacking personalization or habit-forming engagement.

Live impact & results
AllerTrack launched successfully on Google Play (June 2025) and App Store, achieving 100+ Android downloads in its early phase despite a rapid 1-month timeline. The design's clean, intuitive interface - featuring hyperlocal pollen dashboards, quick symptom logging, and customizable forecasts drove immediate user engagement in the competitive weather category.

Takeaways
This project was definitely a roller-coaster ride. From understanding the inception of the idea to executing it, I learnt a lot about how people think. This was also my first ever attempt at designing a mobile-app, so the learning curve was at an all-time high.
